The week of March 3rd will be on MSA Week. The test will be administered in the morning, so it is very important that students arrive to school on time and ready to begin testing! A good night's rest and a healthy breakfast go a long way. We also ask that students store electronics in their lockers or keep them at home on testing days because electronics (including cell phones) are not allowed in the testing rooms.
On Monday and Tuesday, students will complete the Math MSA Test. On Thursday and Friday, students will complete the Reading MSA Test. On these days, students will go to all of their classes on an abbreviated schedule. There will be no testing on Wednesday. In 7th Grade Language Arts, students will be completing the following activities during class time:
Please Note: Periods 1, 5, & 7 are expected to be finished with Gifted Hands and their Reader Response Journals by Monday, March 3rd. If they do not finish the book in class during our last work session on Friday, February 28th, they will need to see me to check out a book to complete the text and the journal over the weekend. Additionally, students in these classes have been assigned an Extension Activity as a final project. The writing project requires students to write their own autobiography inspired by what they read in Gifted Hands. This assignment is due on March 10th.
